Our next event is a show with a difference. Cast your minds back to the era of steam radio. Remember lying in bed at night or sitting in front of the fire, listening to your favourite plays on the radio.
Hanging on the spoken word, requiring you to exercise your minds without the aid of any visuals. As Pieter Dirk Uys calls it, “The University of the Imagination”. What we have planned is a collection of short stories (think Roald Dahl, Herman Charles Bosman et al), narrated by “unseen” readers, candles being the only form of illumination. You will be entertained with a variety of tales, interspersed with a tasty meal comprising lamb potjie and homemade bread, followed by baked cheesecake (BYO). All this for R125 per head (for catering purposes, booking is essential). We hope that you will join in the fun. Tickets are available from Dianne at the Museum (022 492 3361).
