With Spring just a breath away, ideas for keeping your white wine chilled to quaff under a sunny sky come to mind.
So here’s a cool trick using frozen grapes. Just throw a handful of frozen grapes into your glass of wine to keep it nicely chilled. Sure beats ice cubes which take up too much real estate in the glass and leak water into your wine.
Summer’s just round the corner and chilled white wine with an al fresco lunch is beckoning so here’s an alternative way to chill the white wine.
It’s much quicker to cool down individual glasses of wine rather than the whole bottle. A stash of frozen grapes not only works but it looks funky.
Toss a few frozen grapes in your glass before you start drinking. They won’t pass much flavour through the skin, so it’s not a huge deal. The grapes might affect the flavour of the wine ever so slightly, so I probably wouldn’t use this with an expensive vintage, but it’s perfect for easy drinking table wine.
AND – once you’re done drinking, you have a delicious chilled snack waiting for you at the bottom of the glass.
